Heat Pumps: The Government’s Chosen Solution Several years ago, heat pumps were thrust into the spotlight as the government’s preferred answer to gas boiler replacements. Backed by incentive schemes like the Boiler Upgrade Scheme, heat pumps quickly became the poster child of green home heating.
